In older homes, rural homes, or other homes that may not be able to connect to the municipal sewer system, a sewage ejection system is necessary to dispose of wastewater.
.) You'll probably want a two pump system in case of overflow.
.) You should also have an electric alternator system to equalize the pump usage.
.) You'll also want to make sure you have a high level override to start the second pump if the first one does not work or cannot keep up with the flow.
.) There should also be an alert light and/or bell to warn of a potential overflow, and it should be connected to the water supply so that in the event of a malfunction of power failure, the water flow will be cut off so no plumbing can be used, and therefore you will not get flooded. The pump is usually recessed into the floor or basement. |
